The AI desks run on your own key from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or OpenRouter, or on your Claude Pro or Max plan through the connector. Your provider bills you for the model's work; no plan includes it, and Paperwright never resells it or takes a cut.

Questions
How do I cancel?
Any time. On your account page, choose Manage billing, which opens the billing portal, and cancel there; or cancel at link.com, where your Link account lists your subscriptions. Pro stays on to the end of the month or year you've paid for, and you aren't charged again.
What happens to my papers if I go back to Free?
Nothing is deleted. You can open, edit and export every paper, with its sources, data and co-authors. To start another paper or invite another co-author, you'd need to be under the Free plan's limits, or upgrade again.
Is the AI included?
No plan includes it. The AI desks run on your own provider: an API key from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or OpenRouter, or your Claude Pro or Max plan through the connector. Your provider bills you for the model's work; Paperwright doesn't resell it or take a cut.
Why does my statement say LINK.COM* ATYPIC?
Paperwright is made by Atypic, and sold through Link (Sold through Link, LLC, an affiliate of Stripe), the merchant of record. Link takes the payment, works out any sales tax, VAT or GST, and emails your receipts.
Can I get a refund?
A cancelled plan stays on to the end of its term, so the unused part isn't refunded by default. If you were charged twice or unexpectedly, or something went wrong, write to support@atypic.ai and it will be put right; Link may also refund within 60 days. The whole policy is at atypic.ai/refunds.
Can I switch between monthly and yearly?
Yes, in Manage billing. The billing portal shows what the change costs before you confirm it, with the time you've already paid for taken off.
Does anyone train AI on my writing?
No. Your papers, notes and data are yours: Paperwright never trains a model on them or sells them, and sends them only to the AI provider you choose. Unpublished work stays unpublished. See Privacy.
